United Kingdom, Heat? Who’d have thought it? With the sun in the sky the last few days we decided to let you know our favourite beach destinations to visit before the summer is over!
If you aren’t lucky enough to live near a beach, do not fear we have come up with the 2 beaches in each area of the UK that are most worth packing up your car and your sandals and venturing out to.
The South West

North Devon’s three-mile sandy beach is perfect for all. With clean golden sands, stunning scenery and unparalleled sunsets. It’s gorgeous in the sun and ideal for surfers in worse conditions. Parking ranges from £5-£8 for a full day or cheaper after 4pm.
Weymouth

Weymouth is known for it’s lovely, clean and gently sloping beach, perfect for children, and with very little tidal movement, it’s ideal if you’re looking to hire the beaches pedal boats or canoes. The harbour and Marina are nearby and are both worth a visit.
If you are an activities type beach goer, you can find swing boats, a helter skelter, trampolines, zorbing, a roundabout, bungee jumping, numerous Punch and Judy shows throughout the day and donkey rides!
The South East
Hengistbury Head

This lovely untouched English coastline has at least 3 different routes to walk your ballet pumps along, all with beautiful views and a lot of nature. If you go, you should take a break and get Coffee or breakfast at the Beach hut. If you’ve got time, you should walk along Mudiford, past all the beach chalets and take the tiny ferry across to Mudiford Quay, plus the ferry goes about every 10 minutes.
Bournemouth Beach

Bournemouth beach is really sensational, with a seven mile stretch of sandy beach, there will definitely be a section to suit you! The section of beach by Bournemouth Pier is well-served by cafes, the "Town-Gardens" Fairground-Rides, Oceanarium, Zip-Wire, Theatres, Hotels, Restaurants and all the facilities of the town centre. It gets very lively, thriving and busy!
You can strike off Westwards towards Poole Harbour where the Sandy bay continues through the beaches of Westbourne, Branksome, Canford Cliffs & Sandbanks, or head off Eastwards along the Golden Sands for a mile, where you'll arrive at Boscombe Pier, or for a change of pace you can hop on the land train. Here there are lots of facilities again, and it is perhaps a little more family-centric with a slightly more relaxed feel to the day, if that’s more your thing.
The North West

Luskentyre is truly beautiful. It’s a must-go for any beach lover, with pure white sand and clear turquoise water that stretches for miles. Enough said.
Nairn Beach

Another beach with beautiful views, with its long sandy beach and bright blue sea comes a nice harbour with yachts in it. It’s got lots of rock pools and lovely sandy beaches which are easily accessible with parking close by. If you’re lucky and have a good eye you may even be able to sight some dolphins!

Filey Beach

Filey beach is a beautiful bay. With gorgeous beaches and fantastic views. Great for young and old. There are some nice little trinket shops and a few really nice places to eat. The Tea Bar does a delicious hot chocolate!
Filey is accompanied with a lovely little promenade, which includes a bouncy castle and some rides for younger children. There's also a small paddling pool with plenty of seating for bored adults whilst younger children play and an amusement arcade. You can hire small chalets for around £30 per day that looked quite sweet where you can put deck chairs and get changed in for the beach in private. There are cafes and ice cream places that are reasonably priced and deck chair hire for £3 with a £1 refund upon return of the chair.
Whitby Beach

Whitby has a lovely sandy beach which just right for families. When the tide is out the beach is lovely to walk along, especially to Sands end a few miles further along the coast. At the moment there are donkey rides available and a land rover ice cream van actually on the beach.
